The Buddha Relics

The Relics below are the cremated remains of the current Buddha.  Before the Buddha passed away he made a wish for his teachings to exist on forever.  Through the process of cremation after death, the remains of both the Buddha and his disciples (Arahants) will turn into crystallised Relics for the future generations.

Buddhist Pagodas are especially built to house these Relics for the future generations.  Both Buddha's and Arahants' Relics will multiply, disappear, change colours and size according to the environments.  One way of testing Relics is to float them in water, once floated, the Relics will come together.

The Buddha Relics have two purposes, one to prove to people that Enlightenment is possible and two to encourage practices of good virtues.
