20 - 22 Apr 2018 retreat
Dear Everyone,
Thank you all so much for your wholehearted participation during the April weekend retreat.
Venerable Phra Mana, LuongPo Sawat, Peter and all volunteers enjoyed having you all in the monastery.
We are very grateful for your hard work during the working bee, and for helping to keep the monastery a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to many of you who have already sent lovely emails of your experiences during the retreat.
And we hope Phra Mana’s teachings and the good vibration from the monastery will help to sustain your practice always.
We hope to see you all again soon, if not at retreat, just for Sunday lunch and Dhamma talk JJJ
With metta,
Kim

Thanks again Kim. I had a really nice weekend as usual! Once again the volunteers were great and the food is always exceptional. Batteries successfully recharged!

Many thanks, also on behalf of Wendy, for the great experience we had at Sunnataram Monastery! It was very well organised and very enjoyable in terms of teaching, environment, food, etc.
We would be thankful to be granted admission to another retreat in the future.
Many thanks especially to you! We appreciate the hard work you put into this noble project.
Have a great week,
Wendy & Fabian
Hi Kim
Thank you once again for your hospitality. The retreat was challenging but so rewarding.
Thank you for your flexibility, we were so glad she felt well enough to make it.
I look forward to visiting again.
Cheers
Bec
Dear Kim, Phra Mana, Luong Po, Peter and the kitchen team,
Firstly, thank you for accommodating me on such short notice. Thank you for the generous, kind teachings and wonderful environment. Will practice with my best effort!
Please let me know if you need volunteers in the future, or any other way I can help out the monastery.
I wanted to ask Phra Mana if I am interested to be a monk for a short time (e.g. for a few months) what would be the best way to start? If the question is too troublesome or would take too long to answer, don’t worry, I will ask next time I see you all.
Thank you!
All the best, take care with Metta,
John
Good morning Kim,
Well where do I start? My experience on the April retreat was so special to me. It truly went above my expectation.
As it was my first time, I was a little overwhelmed at the start however your friendly face put me at ease.
I have learnt things that I will continue to practice in everyday life and cannot wait to see everyone again at the next retreat.
Thank you to Venerable Phra Mana, LuongPo Sawat, Peter, yourself and all of the beautiful volenteers.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to share the experience and even though monetary life for my unfortunately isn't an option, last weekend was perfect to Retreat from the world for a while.
Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Jessica
Dear Kim,
I absolutely loved and treasured every moment at your beautiful monastery last weekend. It could not have come at a more perfect time for me, where I find myself at a ‘fork in the road’ with some big decisions to make, this time was exactly what I needed to give myself. I had thought the retreat might be a challenging experience for me especially in the request for noble silence, but it quickly became very natural and nurturing, I didn’t want it to come to an end! I found all my answers and more.
Venerable Phra Mana, I was blessed to spend time in your presence, you radiate such love and happiness, you embody all the teachings you convey, and I deeply appreciate every one of them. LuongPo Sawat, the meditation walk you guided us for through the forest was a very special moment in time for me. And Peter, Tai Chi was a new learning and is now a practice I will continue, I found it very meditative and beautiful, what a perfect way to start the day. To the volunteers, you are amazing kind souls. Thank you all so much for the amazing effort you put in to making us feel so welcome, cared for and wow, the food… the food was incredible.
I will most definitely be back on a future retreat, and will bring the family for Sunday lunch very soon!
Love and good vibrations,
Tash
