6-9 Jun 2025 Retreat
Dear Everyone,
Thankyou for being a part of the June long weekend retreat.
Thank you for your bravehearts enduring the freezing conditions, and your effort to maintain your practice under such challenging conditions.
Venerable Phra Mana, the monks, volunteers and I are very grateful and inspired by your diligence, and as Phra Parinya mentioned it is so unusual for many Thai monks to see non-Thai people practicing the Dhamma.
We welcome you all to return to experience a retreat in the warmer months or to just join us for a Sunday Dhamma teaching.
Attached please find the Chanting Book for you to continue your practice
I have attached a couple of photos and more will be available on the website soon.
Please send us your experience or comments about the retreat as we all love to hear feedback.
Rejoice with everyone, warm wishes and metta,
Kim
Thank you so much Kim. I am very grateful for this experience and will definitely be back for more learning and breathing. Sorry I didn’t get to see you before I left as I took off very quickly when rain came. Pass on my gratitude to the volunteer staff, the food was amazing amd also to the monks for their time and dedication to passing on their knowledge
Respectfully
Tracy
Dear Kim
Thank you once again for providing us with the opportunity to practice the dhamma at Sunnatarm. Phra Mana was as always truly inspirational. He is a great teacher who can make the complex dhamma teachings easy to understand. It is great to see all the monks and the dedication of the young monks. It was great to hear and learn from their stories/ experiences. The presentation of the young monk on heedfulness was also inspirational and we hope they will follow in the footpath of their teacher. We look forward to hearing from them more.
Thank you to all the monks who have worked tirelessly to keep us warm and we were humbled to eat food prepared by the monks. Thank you to Kong too who worked tirelessly to keep everyone warm and help fix the window of the train carriage. Thank you to all the volunteers who kept us fed with yummy Thai food and a big thank you to you Kim for all your efforts to keep the monastery in top order.
We truly appreciate the great work Phra Mana is doing with the young monks. It will be a great service to the community in the future. Please let us know if we can assist in anyway either monetarily or with anything else such as travel/ food/ other needs etc for the monks. We will be honoured to assist with such a noble cause and it will be no burden.
With Metta

Hi Kim,
Many thanks for another beautiful weekend at Sunnataram. What a wonderful show of hospitality from volunteers and monks.
The little cabins were surprisingly warm and cosy despite the cold and windy conditions, and once again the food was outstanding!
Thanks again for a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
Rebecca
