May 1-3 2026 Retreat
Dear Everyone,
Thank you for being a part of this weekend's delightful meditation retreat.
Ven. Phra Mana and all volunteers hope that you have had a wonderful experience and have joyfully arrived home with deep smooth breath, and a feeling of contentment..
Uplifting energy comes from delightful joy and happiness which come from
1 Concentration of the Mind.
2 Freedom from Attachment
Please see the attached photos and the Chanting Book for inspiration.
If anyone would like to continue their Tai Chi practice please google 18 movement Shibashi practice and choose one of the many teachers instruction tapes available..
We would love to hear your feedback if you have time, and look forward to seeing everyone on any Sunday or another retreat.
Many thanks to Gary, Ed, Jared and Richard, and to everyone for their fabulous help in the garden and throughout the retreat
Wishing that everyone has found new or improved skills to help them navigate the challenges of everyday life.

Hi ,
And thank you for this retreat , just what I needed to reassemble myself and move forward , in knowledge .
The food was very good and got even better as my Conciseness developed through the senses .
I loved my Monk’s Hut and just being in a place where the energy from forest , land , ocean and animals meet the sky .
I appreciated all that was taught and I have much to contemplate and express , through breath .
I will return .
Of note , do you accept drop in’s say on a Sunday to help with the gardens. So much to be done there.
Alison
Good morning, Kim,
Thank you very much for your warm message.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to join the retreat and for the peaceful, supportive environment that you, Phra Mana, and all the volunteers created.
We felt deeply nourished by the teachings and the gentle atmosphere throughout the weekend.
It means a great deal to us that our presence and our small contribution are received with such kindness.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the retreat so meaningful.
We continue to carry the calm and clarity from the weekend into our daily lives.
With Metta and gratitude,
Nhung and Tuan
Dear Mrs Kim and Phra Mana
Thank you so much for the weekend. It was magical. I am so grateful I got to attend.
The teachings were powerful and motivated me to keep going with meditation and mindfulness. The monastery is absolutely beautiful and peaceful place. Thank you to everyone who took care of us.
My mind felt so calm and clear after this weekend.
Are you going to add all the pictures from the weekend to the website perhaps? I would love to have the rest of them as well.
Kindest,
Sara Pakkanen
Hi everyone,
Wow, what an incredible retreat!
In all the years I've been coming, it seems to get better each time I attend! Kim and Phra Mana, you do such an amazing job creating a peaceful and safe environment for us all and conveying the wisdom of the teachings into practical and tangible things we can implement in our daily lives. Of course Chok-Dee, the Kangaroos, Potteroos and Peacocks also play their part in helping us learn, haha!
Thank you also to my fellow retreat members who brought their kindness and energy to the experience.
With much metta and blessings,
Sherien
It was yet again a wonderful retreat. Phra Mana's talks really resonated well with me. Unfortunately, I usually arrive after weeks of being too busy and sleep deprived, so taking the foot off the accelerator, and feeling such peace, I sometimes nap off during meditation, which I never used to do.
I will try yet again, to keep up the meditation, healthy living and exercise.
I am hoping you can find a place for me to attend again on Labour Day Oct 2nd – Mon 5th 2026. I hope we get to do gardening again on the extra day this long weekend. It is really a treat to spend an hour doing some gardening each day.
Also, if you can give me a list, I can bring some groceries like tea, coffee etc.
And by the way, I stayed in Hut 10, which was great - 2 nice big windows to let in the breeze.
Again many thanks to you, Phra Mana, the volunteers, and the other participants on the retreat.
Kind regards
Cate
